Finally...starting work!

So we moved to indiana for the opportunity to get a jump start on our lives. My aunt knows someone who owns a tattoo shop and they can hopfully help david by giving him an apprentiship to get his tattoo license. so he will be on his way to that. and since my going to school to be a preschool teacher didnt really work out because cali may not have preschool anymore, ive decided to change my carreer path. My aunt ows a staffing company and i will be working in the office learnig the ropes of what it is all about. i know most of the idea but as far as knowing everything...im not that far yet. lol so after 3 years of being a stay at home mom, im am stepping into the working force. and i am really excited about it. well thats it for now. Julian finally is sleeping early so i think im gonna work on his bday party decorations. ill post them asap. have a wonderful night!

Julian's Turning 3!

So this is gonna be Julians first bday here with my parents and although were not gonna have a huge party for him im excited to make his bday cake. Ive had my mind set on making a carousel cake and i think im gonna do it. ive taking cake decorating classes and ive made cakes before. so im thinking of it looking something like this but with fondant.



We made this cake for on of my MIL's co-workers. its all edible, even the little poker chips. lol Mr. Julian was trying to play with them as we were putting them on the cake.



and this one we made for thanksgiving. Nobody wanted to eat it bc it was so nice. but we did end up eating it. lol

New Year, New Me!

i always hear people saying this phrase and i know it sounds typical but, i really want to start fresh. i recently moved to indiana to start over and im am looking forward to everything this new year will bring me and our family. I will hopefully be starting a new excited job/career soon, David will be starting his tattoo apprentiship, Julian will be on his way to preschool, and Cali will be formally trained. And as soon we save enough, we will finally have our own place. i thought it was gonna be hard after David got out of the Marine Corps but it seems like things are falling into place for us, and i am forever grateful for everything i have and what good things 2011 will bring us.
